The study of last things is something that has afflicted Christians ever since Jesus promised that He would return one day and take them to Heaven. (John 14:1-3; Phil. 1:23, and Heb. 11:14) Eschatology represents the unquenchable thirst to know all the Bible teaches concerning the end times, such as Jesus' promised return (Acts 1:11), the millennium (Rev. 20), the Great Tribulation (Matt. 24:21), Israel's future (Rom. 11:25-26) and the significance of hope for Christian living ( 1 Corinthians 15:58)
