Happy Reformation Day!

On this day in 1517, Martin Luther nailed His famous ‘95 Theses’ to the door of the Castle Church of Wittenburg, Germany, sparking what would come to be known as the protestant reformation.

It is important to remember that Reformation Day isn’t as much about Luther as it is about the Gospel. We are called to, ‘contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints’ (Jude 3) which means keeping a, ‘close watch on ourselves and on the teaching’ (1 Tim. 4:16). The Reformation was about retaining the clarity and purity of the gospel for all, and we should always be reforming to that end.
