Dominican Republic- day4 download

The day started early getting things ready for the children from Santa Alicia to come to the mission house for a time of worship and a Bible study with GCS elementary students through the use of Skype. I love technology, and the fact that our students witnessed firsthand the positive effects of social media tools.

After the study, we had the opportunity of feeding lunch to the children from the batey. We had rice, beams and chicken. Many of our students expressed this evening, during our talk back time, how good it felt to be able to feed the children. They understood it was one of the best and probably biggest meals that the children would have had in a long time.

After lunch, we took the children to the beach. For many of these children it was the first time they had seen this kind of water. For many, it was probably overwhelming. You never realize how much we actually take for granted until you see people who are "trapped" in areas of the country and really have no way of getting out.

Our students, once again, did great today. I love watching the gospel become a reality to them . It looks good on them!
