Dominican download- day5

Today was our rest day. The kids got to sleep in, eat a late breakfast, and get ready to head out to Boca Chica for lunch at the Pink Pig (one of my favorites), and time on the beach.

This morning I spent some time with Julio and Mercy running errands in Juan Dolio and talking a little about chickenchurch.org and 25project.org. Please continue to pray as we look for more opportunities in bateys here in the Dominican Republic.

This evening, we took the students to El Sueno in Juan Dolio for a pizza dinner and then headed to San Pedro to take in a baseball game. If you have never been to a game in San Pedro, it is hard to describe all that goes on there. It is obvious that these people love the game of baseball.

We will head back to Santa Alicia in the morning to worship with the people of the batey. I love the freedom these people have in their worship. Please pray for me, as I will be sharing the gospel during the service.

We will also be having a community meal with the people of Santa Alicia, that we are providing, and then playing some baseball.

Tomorrow will be difficult for many, because it will be our last day in Santa Alicia.

Parents, once again, I can't express to you in words what The Lord is doing in, to, and through each one of your children. The gospel looks good in them!
