Dominican Republic- day3 download

The day started early so we could get back out to work in Santa Alicia, the batey we have been in for the last two days. It is locate in the Monte Plata province and it takes nearly an hour to get there from our mission house.

The GCS students are doing great. We are actually bringing the children from the batay to the mission house tomorrow so we can Skype back to GCS and have a lesson with some of the elementary students and the children here. This is the first time for us to try and pull of a teaching session over Skype with this many people. I truly do love technology. Please pray with us that this will go well.

The work in the batey is going very well. Our students are doing great. Parents, if you are reading this, you should be very proud of your student and how they are allowing the gospel to change them. I love the talk back sessions we are having at night. It is evident that HE is up to something!

We finished four chicken coops and the chickens should be delivered tomorrow at some point. For more information regarding the vision and work we are doing with chickens, visit http://chickenchurch.org

As I have shared before, I have a very strategic partnership with http://25project.org for the purpose of child sponsorship in the bateys. It cost 36.00 a month to change the life of one of these children. Want to know more, please contact me. I would love to share the vision of the child sponsorship program with you.

We also visited a new batey today that we are praying about starting a new work in. The people were very friendly and as many other bateys, are in desperate need. There is a church in this batey, but no school. The needs are great.

I love being a part of a school that allows its students to take a trip like this. I truly believe it is life changing for all that come here. I have been making trips here for the last 10 years. I continue to fall more and more in love with this place and its people
