Today was an incredible day in Santa Alicia. The men were able to build a chicken coop which will serve as our second chicken project here in the Dominican. We already have 10 coops in a the village called El Cea. These coops were built after my last trip here in December, the month the chicken project was launched.
The ladies did a great job modeling the gospel to the children in the village. Many of these ladies were able to wash clothes, teach bible stories and just hang out with the ladies and children if the village. One lady was even invited into the home of one of the villagers.
Tomorrow, we will be heading to El Cea where we will attend church and II will be speaking. We will also be sharing in song. Please pray for us as we put our hope in the gospel. It is beautiful.

Arrival in Dominican
It has been a long day. Getting up at 3:00 so we can leave by 4:00 so we can be at park N fly by 5:00 sober can be at DFW and check in by 5:30 for a 7:30 flight.
Needless to say, everything went well today. We made our flights, made it through customs and had a great pizza dinner this evening. Now we are getting things ready to begin building another chicken project in a new batay called Santa Alicia. I'm so excited about what the lord has done through the chicken project in El Cea and can't wait to see where all this leads us.
We will be sharing the Creation story in the morning and beginning our backyard Bible club. I am so looking forward to how HE will use this team. Pray for me as I will be sharing the gospel in El Cea Sunday morning as I lead out in teaching.

Tozer. A.W. ~ Quotes from The Attributes of God ... "God's Infinitude"
I am working through A.W. Tozer's book, "The Attributes of God" on Tuesday mornings with a group of men. Here are a few quotes that I highlighted in my reading this week.
"The church will come out of her doldrums when we find out that salvation is not a light bulb only, that it is not an insurance policy against hell only, but that it is a gateway into God and that God is all that we would have and can desire"
"We mean by infinite that God knows no limits, no bounds, no end. What God is, He is without boundaries. All that God is, He is without bounds, or limits."
"There is nothing boundless but God and nothing infinite but God. God is self-existent and absolute, everything else is contingent and relative"
"God, to be God, must be infinite in all that He is. He must have no bound and no limit, no stopping place, no point beyond which He can't go. When you think of God or anything about God you'll have to think infinitely about God"
"He took pleasure in Himself, in His own perfection and in the perfection of His work. And when it comes to redemption, I repeat that this was not a heavy task laid upon God by moral necessity. God wanted to do this. There was no moral necessity upon God to redeem mankind. He didn't have to send His son Jesus Christ to die for mankind. He sent Him, but at the same time Jesus did it voluntarily."
"The infinite Godhead invites us into Himself to share in all the intimacies of the Trinity. And Christ is the way in"

Dominican Republic~ Chicken Project Update
I am so excited about what the Lord is allowing our little church to do in the Dominican Republic. We are working very closely with my dear friends, Julio and Mercy, as we continue to pray about and put our hands and feet to what the Lord has birthed in us. The Lord continues to stir our affections for this people group in the Dominican. He is allowing us the opportunity to begin providing chicken coops for families that are living in the batays located in the San Pedro De Macoris region of the DR.
Please continue to pray for this ministry and our ongoing effort to touch the lives of the "least of these"
Here are a few updated pics of a few of the chicken coops that are being built, and maintained by the families in the batays. We are praying that these families will not only be able to begin having more nourishment readily available to them, but that these chicken coops will also serve as a tool for making some sort of income for these families.
We are headed back to the Dominican Republic this July, with a team of 14 people. Will you please pray with us and for us! We have been able to supply 10 families in this batay with a chicken coop, 18 chickens, and chicken feed for them to begin nurturing and expanding this chicken project.
Feel free to contact me for information on how you can get involved with this project.

A Puritan Prayer- Love Lustres at Calvary
Today is Good Friday..
Love Lustres at Calvary
My Father,
Enlarge my heart, warm my affections, open my lips, supply words that proclaim 'Love Lustres at Calvary.'
There grace removes my burdens and heaps them on thy Son, made a transgressor, a curse, and sin for me;
There the sword of thy justice smote the man, thy fellow;
There thy infinite attributes were magnified, and infinite atonement was made;
There infinite punishment was due, and infinite punishment was endured.
Christ was all anguish that I might be all joy,
cast off that I might be brought in,
trodden down as an enemy
that I might be welcomed as a friend,
surrendered to hell's worst
that I might attain heaven's best,
stripped that I might be clothed,
wounded that I might be healed,
athirst that I might drink,
tormented that I might be comforted,
made a shame that I might inherit glory,
entered darkness that I might have eternal light.
My Savior wept that all tears might be wiped from my eyes,
groaned that I might have endless song,
endured all pain that I might have unfading health,
bore a thorny crown that I might have a glory-diadem,
bowed his head that I might uplift mine,
experienced reproach that I might receive welcome,
closed his eyes in death that I might gaze on unclothed brightness,
expired that I might forever live.
O Father, who spared not thine own Son that thou mightest spare me,
All this transfer thy love designed and accomplished;
Help me to adore thee by lips and life.
O that my every breath might be ecstatic praise,
my every step buoyant with delight, as I see
my enemies crushed,
Satan baffled, defeated, destroyed,
sin buried in the ocean of reconciling blood,
hell's gates closed, heaven's portal open.
Go forth, O conquering God, and show me the cross, mighty to subdue, comfort and save.

Chicken Project
Here are some pics of our Chicken Project in the Dominican Republic. We are working towards getting the families that are a part of the El Cea batay an opportunity to raise chickens in order to have food, eggs and possibly future income through the selling of eggs and even chickens in the surrounding local markets.
Our little church has been able to raise enough money to build 10 chicken coops with 12 chickens in each coop. Our desire is to build more coops and purchase enough chickens to allow each family to have 20 chickens.
This will be an ongoing ministry for us and our church family is very excited to have this opportunity. We have a team of 15 people who will be making a trip in July to continue looking for ways to reach out to the "least of these".
